Margot Vanfleteren

I’m Margot, living in Leuven (BE) and study health sciences at Maastricht University. I’ve been living with type 1 diabetes for over 20 years. Passionate about health and people I advocate for patient centered healthcare, with a focus on diabetes care. The latter led me to various professional and voluntary positions such as the Young Leader in Diabetes program, patient engagement manager at Healthbank and founding my start-up Marjore with which we improve the diabetes treatment. I also consult pharmaceutical and non-pharmaceutical companies as patient expert. The thirst for knowledge led me to EUPATI’s course, I aim to enrich my senses to improve my advocacy and make fruitful connections so patient care can be improved.
