Gerhard Louw is a marketing & media professional with more than 20 years’ experience across 4 industries, 4 countries and 2 continents. Currently he is Head of International Media Managementat Deutsche Telekom AG in Bonn, Germany, responsible for steering and transforming the media function of the Group across its 12 national telecommunication companies in Europe.
He is the leader and driver behind the company’s advertising technology set-up and the much discussed and publicised new Media Operating Model (MOM), a way of working where the advertiser takes more in-house control over media planning & buying processes, whilst still working with key executional partners.
On an industry level, he is driving change through his active involvement in the World Federation of Advertisers (WFA), serving on the Executive Committee and the Global Media Board.
Gerhard is a registered Coach and a workshop facilitator & moderator. He recently published his first book, a practical guide for immigrants that want to find their feet and integrate in Germany.
